A town with lots of water and verdant countryside. Explore the river Marne on mountain bike, on foot or in a boat and admire the beautiful surroundings.

The banks of the Marne are ideal for sporty or relaxing holidays. There are plenty of footpaths and picnic spots beside the river.

We are there to help you – we can recommend mountain bike rides, walks or canoe trips. – simply ask!

The town itself has retained much of its past. There are fine examples of perpendicular and Romanesque architecture. All around carved stone, sculptures and stained glass provide evidence of prodigious artistic endeavours.

Venturing down streets and roads within the town you will see a variety of urban architecture, timber-framed houses, local brickwork patterns and public buildings with classical facades.

There is nothing as nice as taking a river trip in high summer and seeing the town centre from an altogether different perspective. Close by the area known as Le Jard provides a delightful setting, a moment away from it all.

In the depths of a former Gaulish/Romanesque crypt, champagne, the wine of kings and the king of wines, slowly matures.
